Hello. I'm new on this site. I wanna ask if will engine motor from 2005 pt cruiser non turbo fit to 2002 pt cruiser non turbo. My engine in 2002 is dead and I'm going to put new engine in. I found one from 2005 pt cruiser for good price and I'm wondering if will it fit.

So, newer engine will fit to my 2002 or will not?

Yes, you will have to blank off the EGR valve on the car. I don't believe the 2005 engine has the hook up for the valve.

No it will not fit. Up to 03 was SBEC engine controller. After 03 Chrysler went to NGC controller. The engine and crank where changed. The crank sensor was moved and the crank position wheel moved. EGR is also a problem.

I put motor from 2005 dodge stratus to 2002 pt cruiser. Everything is plugged in and motor doesn't want start. I know the crunk sensor is on the other side, that's the reason. What can I do know? Is the way to make it work?

No. The engine will not work. The cranks sensor wheel is in a different location and has a different tooth count. The engine will not run in that vehicle.

What years do fit a 2002? I have a line on a 2.4 from a 99 voyager... thanks for your help.
