Default AIRAID Intake Kit Help

Hi , I have a question on the airaid intake system I cant see it on the pictures but how dose the cold air make it to the filter? unlike my stock filter theres a tube that sucks in air from the bottom , on the airaid i see the filter incase but no tube going dwon to suck in cold air

as is in the picture seems it would just suck in what ever air around it ( warm air) in this case .

I was also told by a co worker that i have to drill or make a 2 inch hole on the bottom of my airaid intake kit is this true?

The airaid filter uses the bottom of your stock air box...so you still have air coming in

You will get the filter, attaching hose from intake to the "box" that is included. You will put the box together, put the weatherstripping around the top. When your hood is closed, the weatherstripping fits tight against the hood, completing the cold air intake. As rte66 said, "The box then attaches to your lower air box and the cold air comes in as usual."
