Default radiator fan removal on 06 up cruiser

Hi guys new to the forum and was wondering does anybody have pictures and info on removing cooling fan on a 2006 pt cruiser. I see the info on 01-05 and i wasnt sure if the 2006 up pt was the same so any help would be appreciated.

I wrote the sticky. There shouldn't be a whole of of difference between mine and yours. Take it slowly, look around at each thing your taking apart before you start unscrewing or pulling. After you take the the top radiator support and front grill off, the hardest part for me was the horizontal bar across the front of the radiator. It was held on by two bolts on either end that were hidden and a lot of trouble to get to. The radiator has to tilt forward so the fan housing can lift up and that bar is in the way.

Also, on the electrical connection from the wires of the fan. There's a red slider lock that slides to the right to unlock the connection and then a small U shaped clip that has to be lifted up so the connection comes apart. I added another picture to the sticky showing the electrical connection.

Another way if you have old anti-freeze is to remove the bottom radiator hose and pull the fan assembly out from the bottom. But make sure the anti-freeze is cool and then put in new when you are done. 2 birds 1 stone.
