make-up air filter ?

In addition to the engine air filter, my owner's manual talks about a "make-up air filter" that should be replaced periodically but seems to give no further specific information. What are they talking about? Is this a cabin air filter and if so, where is it located? Thanks. 08, base.

Your 08 base does not have a make-up air filter so no need to worry. The make up air hose and filter was only used on 2002-2004 models. It's a hose that runs air from the air intake box to the left side of the engine with a blackish greyish foam filter in the intake box that gets gunked up with engine oil.

I've had the same make up filter since 03'. I wonder if that's something worth replacing.

Edit: Just checked mine and it's definitely not suppose to be blackish or greyish. It's more yellowish. hell, not even sure if that's the color it's suppose to be. Anyone know of a retailer that sells these? I'd hate to pay the outrageous price the dealership would make me pay for this little piece of foam.
