I think ya'll are right. You can see when I figure it out during the video. I think it's the timing belt or the timing belt tensioner....

How many miles?
Take it to a good mechanic.

Oh.. so it's a turbo.

Is the turbo boosting what it should be? Is it spooling ok? It could be the turbo going?

My money is still on a t-belt or a pulley.

I didn't know it was a turbo either...I'd pull all the intake and exhaust tubing and look for oil on the vanes as well as wear on inside of the housing and excessive shaft play...but I'm kinda the same as above...going with a belt issue first.

Pull the pass side tire and plastic off from under the wheel well and maybe pull the belts and start it to see if the sound goes away.

The car has about 107k miles on it. The turbo has a little bit of shaft play but not much...also, I think it's blowing oil...the inside of the inlet housing had oil on it. The turbo spools fine and boost fine though. I found a turbo rebuild kit for 80 bucks...I might order one of those while I pull apart the timing belt assembly. I'll get back with ya'll in a couple of days. Thanks!

At 107K, you're due for timing belt. Some oil in intake is common.

Oh shit guy.. if thats the stock t belt your on borrowed time Bro. I'd almost PROMISE you thats the t belt and the t belt tensioner starting to go. Oil inside the housing can be alright.. but not a whole lot. Here is something else t keep in mind though. Why rebuild that tiny garbage turbo? Granted, rebuild kits are cheap.. but I'd personally go big-turbo and call it a day.

What turbo is interchangeable with the turbo manifold I have? Or would I have to get a different turbo manifold?
