Oil warning light on...oil topped off?
The oil indicator light comes on every other start up. I'd start the car, it comes on. I turn the car fully off, then start it up again, no light....?
 This occured a day after I changed the oil. I've changed the oil on this car since day one. Same procedure, same oil, same oil filter, same tools, same oil catch....you get my point. Does the oil pressure or level sensor go bad? Or should I chase the connector...? Or.....?????

One way to verify if its motor or electrical would be to pull the sensor and "T" in a mechanical gauge for a while.

Where is the location of the sensor. I don't have a gauge, just the light. Thanks!

bump for some more info.
i know its an old thread but my cruiser has been doing the same thing from time to time. oil seems fine so i was wondering where the connector is so i can check and see if its electrical. thanks for the help

Hello, I'm having this exact same problem,it's very intermitant, I'm getting a code " low voltage to oil sending unit" has anyone resolved this problem. I've noticed my battery is starting to get weak,could this be the problem?Thanks 2003 turbo

Preaty common problem. Put in a new sensor. Think it is on the right rear of the eng looking from the frunt. Mine does it all the time. Turn of and it goes away.

The oil sending unit does go bad. A few owners have replaced theirs to cure the problem.

scarabY2k, a lot of the aftermarket sensor do NOT like the PT's, however OEM's work fine.
