I wouldn't give up that easy....who knows what else may be wrong with the car. Have a mechanic go over the car to make sure nothing is wrong with it...Those used card dealer pop-up and disappear faster that you can blink.. especially in our great city of L.A.

The muffler is in the wrong location and someone has cut off a good sized chunk of the exit pipe. (maybe it was rubbing from misalaignment?) I would check the hangers and make sure they are not bent, Then check to make sure the rest of the exhaust isn't out of whack, if it is I'd take the car back to the dealership and tell them that you do not feel the car was represented correctly since appearantly something happened to this car that caused the exhaust system to shift towards the driver side of the car by several inches.

UGH!!! Get that muffler lined up with the cutout. I bought a nice stainless tip from Auto Zone for 10 bucks. I put it on myself with some JB Weld addhesive (Auto Zone should have this too). Easy stuff to use and hardens rather quickly, so don't let it sit around after its mixed for more than 30 seconds.
