Default Installed turbo upgrade

I got it yesterday. I just checked and I ordered it 10 days ago. It wasnt as bad of a job as I thought. 2 1/2hrs and I was driving it. I never even studied the instructions before hand. Im sure On another one since a person has done it before you could cut that time in half. My gasget came off clean so that saved me time. I do notice the differance. My boost has doubled and goes to as high as 14 but holds at 12psi. It acts more like that motor should. 1st gear is real impressive. I can hit it at a roll and break the tires loose easily.
It pulls alot harder through the rest of the gear too. I didnt get up to red line in 3rd. Im getting alittle chicken in my old age. I like my really cheap insurance rates and want to keep them. one thing. On the fuel injectors the fuel rail end on like 3 of them were mushroomed off to the side and flatened down with some fibers sort of sheered off. It looks like when they pressed the end black seal on it was off centered. I cleaned the fibers off and straightened them as good as possible. I didnt want that stuff to come off and plug the injectors. It runs good so I must have it off so none came lose and got into them. I could see no problem with getting at anything except the support bracket that was over the nut/bolt of the thermostat housing. I ended up just pushing it off to the side. The BTG exhaust should be here monday hopefully. Maybe it will sound as good as it runs. Flash

Glad to hear the install went smooth for you and you are enjoying the new performance. I agree with the insurance statement.

Every time I read of another stage one going in I get about 3 key strokes away from ordering one, but I'm holding out till at least next spring and after some suspension upgrades.

Glad to hear the upgrade went well.... How about some details? Where did you buy it? What year and model, tranny, PT did you put it on?
I just bought a 2004 Touring Edition with the Turbo Option, and I am very intrested.
