Exclamation Stuck oil drain plug

I've got a stuck oil drain plug. The last time the dealer had to heat up the pan to remove the bolt, now it's stuck again. Will I be able to drain most of the oil from removing the filter? I can't afford to replace the oil pan right now and I'm desperate to change the oil.

Thanks.

Sorry No. Taking the filter off will only give you a little over what the filter holds. You can drain the pan by buying a suction pump and a length of tubing. They have hand pumps or electric.

that's what I was afraid of, even though the filter is right on the pan. Think an imact wrench would get it off? Hopefully, without stripping the bolt.

what sort of pump will I need to look for? I've got a siphon hose pump. I'm sure i'll need to create a seal around the hole for the filter. Will that work or cause any oil pump issues? I can't afford the $300 to replace the oil pan.
