gearbox removal from a 2000 classic

Default gearbox removal from a 2000 classic

please help im in the uk
i was traveling back from keilder water when my gearbox/transmission 's bell housing gave way found a 1 inch hole in it and no gear oil as it had leaked out
anyway cut a long story short i have a donor gearbox from a 04 2.0 16v cruiser tourer manual 5 spd

thing is will this fit my 2000 classic 2.0 16v manual 5spd

i also need help with how to remove and replace the gearbox as im going to attemp this myself so things like what tools/equipment to use would be great

so any help would be usefull
