Default Engine Identification

Hi folks,
I have what I believe to be a 2004 or 05 turbo 2.4L motor complete. Supposed to have only 14,000 miles on it (It does look brand new). Can someone tell me based on the numbers below what model year this motor is?

There a light blue sticker on the motor with a bar code and the following:

PO4884523AC 2.4L 523AC

Also, can you tell me what each set of numbers mean?

Thanks, so much! I am new to Chrysler products.

Those numbers mean nothing to me but maybe someone else can break them out. Meanwhile, open up the drivers door and on the edge of the door you'll see a sticker full of information and a sticker on the air pressures recommendations for your tires.

On the top line of the information sticker, right in the middle, it will have "Date of MFR" That's the date you car came off the assembly line. Under neath that it will have a month and year. Mine says 8-00, that's August of 2000.

Further down the sticker you'll see the word "VIN" and 17 numbers and letters after that. It's your Vehicle Identification Number. That will break out most of the information you need. A google search for "Chrysler VIN number" will give you places that will break down the VIN into categories about your vehicle.

Thanks for the quick response.
I have only the engine, not the car.

I can look it up tomorrow at work though. What are you trying to do with it? If you are trying to put it in a turbo PT then it should be fine. The engines are the same from 04 up. I think 03 is the same but not 100 percent sure about that.

Try this website--it has every bit of engine identification for MOPAR engines-

Do hope you find what you need.
