Default GT Strut tower brace

Installed the brace at the same time as the springs.

Only $999, but, looking GOOD! [^]

Now it's time to give your engine bay some "real personality"... [?]

Hey Steve:

Looks good, can you install the brace yourself? If it is simple and only needs simple tools, well, I can ask my husband to do it.

Gary, the red hoses look cool. I have some orange ones for my Dream Cruiser, but the kit I got from Moss Motors seems to be only for some of the hoses, not so many like yours. How do you know which hoses to get? Does it come in a set? I like to put more on mine, mostly on the bigger hoses. Any suggestions?

Thanks guys, I really learn alot from people like you here on the forums!

Natasha

The most important thing is to have the correct tools. You can accomplish this job with a good metric socket set and a 6" extension. You will also need a metric allen wrench and a few open end wrenches.

The part came with very good instructions. The tools needed are listed so you can get them before you do the install. Another word of advice is to always have someone more experiencd who you can call for a needed tool or help.

I was a mechanic for 20 years and I have all the tools. I would rate the install as moderately difficult on a GT since the nuts holding everything together are rather difficult to get to. Things are pretty tight on the RH side with the cruise control and solenoids and the brackets to hold them. It is however a job that can be done by the average person with the correct tools (NO CRESCENT WRENCHES OR PLIERS!!!)

The pics I posted are of my 2003 Electric Blue GT. It is a BTG brace from PT-Tuning.

"Convoluted tubing assortment" made by TAYLOR CABLE PRODUCTS (packaged in a set)--they come in various colors--total of 40ft/10 feet each of 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", and 3/4". [u]DO NOT</u> PUT THESE "LOOMS" CLOSE TO OR ABOVE YOUR TURBO-CHARGER OR THE INTENSE HEAT WILL CAUSE SOME MELTING.
