Default timing belt, crank shaft, knock and pcm what next

Hello all very frustrated manual 2003 owner here. Changed the timing belt about six months later "ding" the engine light came on and the car started lurching back on forth on acceleration. The rpm needle was bouncing back and fourth between 0 and 5.

So, the code said crankshaft sensor and knock sensor. Replaced those and it drove fine for a day. Then "ding" and the engine light was on again. This time took it to the dealership. Said it need a new pcm. Picked it up, after about 30 min drive time "ding" engine light with the same codes.

Mechanic has no idea what the problem is and has given up basically. Any ideas short of taking it for a long drive off a short pier?

phish2000, Welcome to the Forum!! You didn't day how many miles you have so, I would ask if you used aftermarket sensors or OEM? Aftermarket sensors have a tendency to not last long and start giving "dings", and then you say, "I just put them on, they should be good". OEM, even tho they cost more seem to last longer. Good Luck

I would take it back to the dealer, request the old PCM be replaced as that "fix" didn't help.

Sounds like a wiring issue. May have a wire rubbing or rubbed through somewhere.... Take it back to the dealership and have them fix it right.
