Was that directed at me? Dont the bearings make a grinding sound when they go bad? The sound Im getting is when Im almost stopped, a very loud horn type of sound (bad description I know, best I got lol).

My wife also gets that 70's old spring mattress sound, she hates it. Did you replace both control arm bushings?

Anything else I should look at?

No, I went to the shop and they told me, oddly enough, that everything was fine. In other words: the bushings and bearings were perfectly fine. They drove it around for a while by themselves and later with me. After that, they showed me everything when they got the car on the bridge. They lubricated some of it and told me to come back if it's getting worse. They did tell me that it could be dirt or some wear in one of the 'shock cylinders', but they normally replace those around 100K miles.

I don't know anything about cars, so I hope they were right...
Good luck to you, and let me know what's going on.

Well, clearly they weren't ripping you off and selling you stuff you didn't need.
Coulda been just dry/squeaky bushings...

I also replaced the control arm bushings and the squeak is gone. Its fairly simple to do, just need to improvise on pressing the bushings in and out.
