When I took out the a-arm, the ball joint was sort of stiff to move and the rubber keeping the grease in was all torn up.
When you replaced the tie rod, did it fix the noise? How is a ball joint replaced? |

was it the inner or outer tie rod?

changed the passenger side ball joint and the clunk stopped on bumps, however it continues when turning the wheel.
Could this be the inner tie rod? |

My wife's PT is doing the same squeaking. I'll give the silicone spray a try. I'll keep you all posted on the end results

Went to the parts store, grabbed a can of Liquid Wrench Silicone lubricant. Squirted the stuff on the passenger's side control arm, ball joints and such. No more squeaking. The wife is very happy
