I have an 03 PT and its been making squeaking noise at the front passenger side, when going over bumps and turning.
I have looked at it and I am unsure if its spring, strut or other. Any ideas? |

The front vertical bushing was real bad and I replaced it and the squeaking is gone. My wife loves it now!
Thanks everyone |

Great. And a lot cheaper than struts

My PT is my service vehicle and is loaded with heavy stuff.
I emptied it out last year for a cross country trip and it squeaked and squawked the whole time until we returned and I loaded everything back in. No more sounds but lower gas mileage. |

As posted before the squeaking noise went away after replacing the bushings. Now I hear clunk sound, usually when I turn the steering wheel. The clunk is coming from the the right front, the same side I replaced the bushings on.
Any ideas on this? |

I also have almost the same exact issue as you. I replaced bushings, but there was a lot of clunking happening on bumps and turning. Mechanic diagnosed it as bad tie rod on drivers side and lower ball joints. I replaced the tie rod because it was real bad. I still have to do the ball joints. It makes sense that that is the cause. I would try that if I was you.
