Does anyone know about how much it would cost for a shop to change the timing belt on a 2003 turbo?

It cost me 1200$ Canadian to change the timing belt and the water pump at the same time and put new coolant in...thats Canadian $$$...I highly recommend doing both at the same time...

Ouch, I guess I should look into other causes of my problem first.
My ingine light came on a couple days ago, I stopped at autozone for them to check the codes and it came up cam shaft position sensor. I replaced the sensor, drove it a day and then the same code came back. The guy at autozone didn't know what to tell me, he said maybe the timing was off. The car starts without a problem and runs really smooth. Any suggestions? |

If you bought the sensor from Autozone, some aftermarket sensors have been known to go bad after only a short amount of time and the only thing that fixed it was buying a nother sensor from Chrysler. More expensive but they work.
Did autozone clear the code from the computer? You can do that yourself by taking off the negative battery cable for about 5 minutes. Take it off anyway while installing any new component or sensor.

Yeah, wouldn't guess timing belt unless 90,000 miles or more - replace camshaft sensor with a Chrysler one.
