Default Coolant Fluid Level

Yesterday I was refilling my windshield washer fluid, and I noticed the liquid in the engine coolant reservior was close to the "fill" line. The reservoir is a translucent container, with about a quart or two capacity, located just behind the engine near the firewall. The line above the "fill" line read "HOT". When you refill this, are you supposed to fill it to the "HOT" or in between? Or should I let the service dept. take care of it at the next oil change/routine service? (Shouldn't they be checking this anyway, along with the washer fluid? It says on the invoice that they do it.)[:I]

Perhaps I should look under the hood more often. It's been a few months since I did, but I really had no reason to fiddle around under there.

Unless you have the newly available Zerex GO-5 Chrysler coolant with HOAT formulation, you should leave it to the dealer.
Zerex part number is ZXGO-51 with a line code ZRX if you have to order it. The gallon container is gold.
