Balance Shaft Belt ?
Just had my timing belt, etc., service.
Advance Auto lists a small, ribbed, Balance Shaft Belt as part of a list of items to be replaced at timing belt service. My mechanic gave it back to me to return to Advance Auto as it doesn't belong the this 2001, 2.4 non-turbo engine. Anybody know anything abount this Balance Shaft Belt?

I believe it's a chain that drives the balance shaft.

The PT does not have a balance shaft belt. It is run by a chain. The Mitsubishi 2.4 has a balance shaft belt.
