I've been getting most of the gas at Sam's Club.
I may try other brands to see the results.
Thanks for all the responses

Where I'm at they've been using "oxygenated fuel" (10% ethanol) during the winter since the 90's due to an inversion layer and lots of wood burning stoves to heat homes. Summer would go back to full gas.

Last year the wonderful OR governer mandated 10% FOOD based fuel year round. So I noticed all the premium pumps went from 91 max to 92 octane due to the ethanol's higher octane. But since it has less power, I lost a few mpg's in my other car.

I've also read from some of the Mustang tuners that they notice a wide discrepancy from area to area across the county (even though its supposed to be 10%), and in the consistency of ethanol percentage from time to time so they have to adjust timing and air/fuel in their tunes to stay within a safe range.

So it is a factor. And all these mandates have accomplished is added greater demand on our food sources. They didn't accomplish any increase in efficiency, or in reducing dependence on foreign oil, because it takes more energy to produce a gallon of eth than the energy you get out of it. duh Your corn lobby at work.

Im in Eastern Pa- my PT Touring 75K miles also usually has a 2mpg drop- this time of year- I also drive about 9-10miles each way to work. I blame it on the winter fuel..... otherwise runs great--- ( I think you are fine) MJB
