Called Pennzoil and they mailed me the spec sheet for SuperTech 10W-30 synthetic. I asked for the sheet for the 5W-30 too and the rep looked but could not find it and his comment was, "Maybe we don't make that one." Seems to support the typical WalMart experience of frequent vendor/supplier changes. At least as of this writing, and since 3/30/05 according to the fine print on the spec sheet, the WalMart SuperTech 10W-30 synthetic comes from the Pennzoil/Shell/Quaker State family of fine lubricants. Interestingly, the WalMart price difference here in Charlotte between SuperTech and Pennzoil Platinum is only $3 for the 5-qt. jug. The per-quart price is nearly $2 different, cheaper for the SuperTech.
