im going to change my oil pump on my 2004 2.4l touring addition. was wondering if anyone had any helpful tips on doing it i have changed an oil pump on a v8 car but never a 4 cylinder i got the pump and it looks a little different than any other oilpump i have seen so i was wanting to see if any you cats out there had any tips for me before i get started. oh and the car doesnt have a turbo i dont know if that makes a differance

Why are you putting an oil pump on? Just curious. You will need to take the oil pan off and the front of the engine needs to come off. The oil pump goes on the crankshaft. Totally different from most V-8s. It's not a small undertaking. I'm a Chrysler trained technician so If you have any questions let me know.
