Default slow starting

during my 5speed swap,i moved the battery to the rear, and now its starting really slow, but i also picked up a 622 code too, which is an alternator problem. ive never moved a battery to the back before,so is it just the alternator thats causing this,or the lengthen'd cable?

When running a battery in the trunk, you will want to have thicker battery cables. Then make sure you run a ground wire from the engine to ground on the frame in the front a one from the batt to the frame in the back otherwise you good have slower cranking power.I have done this to a few of my street cars in the past and didn't have any problems.Good luck.

Welding lead makes good battery cable , available in various sizes , go big then run it inside pvc pipe...

Agree with the others.
Length = resistance, so you need heavier gauge wire.
