Default 02 PT Cruiser heater not working

Heater in my 02 PT cruiser all the sudden stopped working. Car is not under warranty anymore. I filled coolant reservoir in hopes that would fix it. No luck. AC works fine, so not a fuse problem.
Anyone have advice on what I can check next before having to take it to the dealer to fix it. Thanks.

There is a bleeder valve on the neck above the thermostat housing.
