Default EGR Valve

PT Cruiser melting EGR solenoid valve! My wife was adding antifreeze to her car and spilt some on the back of the engine and on the coil. The car was missing and she drove it, when she called me she smelled something like melted plastic. I found where the hose come off the base of the EGR valve to the EGR valve solenoid had melted. Any ideas

Welcome.
I'm confused. Sure you mean EGR? My '02 had it, and I remember it being metal. It's below/behind the throttle body. '02 was the last year for EGR.
Do you meah PCV? It comes off valve cover? Auto stores carry them.
If you mean the hose, take what's left and go to AdvanceAuto, etc, and get gas line hose in same diameter - they sell it by the foot.
Describe what you're referring to - what it's near/looks like.

I have 2001 and the EGR valve has a plastic solenoid valve that is mounted behind the throttle body. It has a vacuum hose conection, a hose that goes to the egr valve and a hose that comes off the bottom going to a fitting at the base of the EGR valve. I changed the EGR valve which comes with the solenoid and had the same problem! it melted the hose connection at the bottom of the solenoid valve and the car has no power!

I think you're talking Idle Air Controller...
Look at the picture in this post:
stalling
Replace the plastic hose with the gas line hose - I bet it won't melt - unless you have an exhaust leak.
