Default Common questions...

I'm new on the PT world. I have a Limited Edition 2008 auto and I love it.

Normal modifications as remove the catalitic converters, installing high flow air filter, maybe a lower temp thermostat, increase the HP of this 2.4lts engine?

I read that the factory sparks plugs cables are crap, which do you guys recommend??

On the other hand, I like the stance look at the front, but it looks too high on rear. Which spring can I install to level it???

Welcome to the forum.

As far as pepping up the non-turbo 2.4 there's not a lot to be done to give you a kick-in-the-rear kind of feeling, without spending big bucks. Leave the CAT alone and go for a lighter weight, free flowing muffler. To go along with it, a free flowing air filter that will fit right into the stock air box.

Most definitely some decent plug wires and better spark plugs but you can wait awhile till you start feeling any kind of rough idle or hesitation as the stock stuff is good for 10-20,000 miles and maybe more. Before that your just throwing money away.

A lower temperature thermostat and any gimmicks on the market like a throttle body spacer won't do a damn, save your money.

Pump up your tires a little more than recommendation to lower the rolling resistance and switch to synthetic oil to improve a couple of different things.

Enjoy your cruiser for what it is. A unique cruising vehicle.
