Default Stalling

Just got PT cruiser fixed -- valves damaged when timing belt broke. Has been sitting about 9-10 months. Put Stabil in gas tank. When driving home cruiser stalled at almost every stop sign and/or stop light. Runs fine when not stopping. Does anyone have any suggestions? Gas tank was full when timing belt broke.

Do the key dance for codes, and let us know what you get. Are you sure that the timing marks were lined up correctly?

When was last time plugs & wires were done? That's first pick.
Next, try some "dry gas" in gas - could've picked up moisture while it sat.

If it actually is running perfectly at speed but just stalling when you stop it could be the idle speed control motor. If it stalls in park but runs ok when you just barely put your foot on the gas, this could be it. There is spray cleaner you can try on it if someone else can send a picture of where it is.
