Default Car Pulls to right when letting of accelerator

I own a 2001 pt cruiser, When I let off the gas the car pulls to the right, this also occurs when it is shifting into 2nd and 3rd gears but steering wheel does not move. Over the past 3 months it is getting worse to point of the pucker factor . The bushings and ball joints are new. I have been told it could be the brakes or motor mounts (Torque struts). The brakes and rotors are in good shape. PLEASE ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT! Thanks

I'd start with an alignment, then swap front tires to rear.

Okay, then motor mounts would be logical - can't see brakes doing it.

I'm looking for the same answers. Turned out my right side torque arm engine mounts were torn. Unfortunately, after replacement I still have the same issue. Skoots to the right after shifting into high gear.

In my case it only happens in high gear... not through the entire shifting sequence, which makes it harder to diagnose. Wondering why torque steer would only occur in one gear.

Can't figure out what would be happening in that instance that doesn't happen in the other gears.

I would still look at the suspension, tierods, balljoints, and bushings.

I would not discount the brakes, if your emergency brake cable is binding or one of your caliper piston seals are shot, you may drag lightly on one side.

Im having a similar problem now. The car veers to one side when accelerating too, but seems worse when lifting off the gas. The steering wheel is not moving when it veers off, but you have to move it quickly to correct or you 'll be 2 lanes over in no time! Its worse at higher speeds, and it is scary. The LCAs and all engine mounts were replaced and an alignment done about 10 months (3000 miles) ago. It has gotten progressively worse in the last month or so.
I dont know if I should take it to a transmission shop, an alignment shop, or? I cant afford to pay multiple places.
Any help appreciated.

not sure why you would go to a trans shop for steering problems. Sound like a tie rid or ball joint issue. LCAs bushings don't really show up this way. Has to be one of the first two I mentioned.

I thought maybe something was up with the differential, like power is going to only one wheel for a second. Guess I do have a tendency to assume the worst when problems arise. The tie rod theory makes sense since they and the upper ball joints were about the only things that werent replaced recently.
Thanks for your input.
