Default Possible belt issue?

I replaced the serpentine belt like a month and a half ago in my '01 pt because it was slipping and it was squeeling. It still does that on occasion but only for the first 1 or 2 seconds. But when i start it up and don't let it use any power (headlights, stereo etc.) it makes a weird rubbing noise but its off and on. Its like when the belt goes around it has one loose spot because its not a constant noise. After warming up it goes away and theres no problems. But if i rev the engine even after warming up, this is always, it squeeks for less than a second. Is this a problem or should i just let it be?

What kind of mileage are we talking about? If you up near 100K, there's another belt (Alternator) and the belt tensioner that also probably needs replacing, not to mention the timing belt and water pump that should be changed.

You might just have a problem with the belt tensioner (No.#1) rather than the belt but the only way I know of to check that is to go in and look at it. The belt should last a lot longer than 60K.

That really sounds like a loose alternator belt. Leave your head lights on without the engine running for 5 minutes, start the engine and turn on every other electrical gizmo you have. rev it up quick to 3k, and let it go to idle. Try it 2 or 3 times. If your alternator belt is making noise after this it will be louder for sure.
Or
Adjust the belt

When i replaced the belt probably at 55k it was real bad. I've adjusted it since then twice, both times tighter. I don't want to get too tight and cause more problems. What exactly would i look for if i look at the belt tensioner? And also i dont think my car would last 5 minutes without the engine running, it dies really fast.
