Question 06PT radiator fan randomly stays on and drains battery

I have replaced the battery and the fuse for the fan (50 red I believe) and I am a bit stumped at what it could be. The fan activates when it should however it occasionally wont shut down and kills the battery, so I pull the fuse when I park it. Anyone have a similar issue or heard of a malfunction like this? NO check engine light.

Welcome to the Fourms.
I don't know where it is, but there's a temp sensor that tells fan to turn on - I suspect that's bad - also, the fan is to come on when A/C is on, that could also be your problem -
I also think the fan should go off when the key is off, it might be ignition switch.
Some ideas....

I won't pretend to know how the cooling system is engineered in detail but I would look at my cooling fan relays. If you blew a fuse (50 amp) and a big one maybe there's something going on inside the relays. I am thinking a skewed set of points on the relay contacts making them stick close even when the relay is off. I too think the fan should turn off with the ignition. I think the power feed to the fan motor is hot all the time and thus could cause this to happen.
