Default Bad diode pattern

My daughters car would not start yesterday.Hooked charger up took it to Auto Zone and had it tested he says it is a bad diode pattern.Battery tested good as did alternator.Any ideas what this is?Thanks in advance

Alternator puts out AC, battery needs DC - there are diodes that recticfy the AC and you have some bad - I don't know how they can say alternator is okay - the diodes are usually considered part of the alternator.
Bottom line - your battery isn't gettting charged, and I think you need a new alternator.

thank you very much.she has a extended warranty on the car and i just checked alternator replacement is covered.
