Default Power Steering Fluid

What power steering fluid do you add to in a 2001 PT? Can you use ATF-4 with the factory fill or do I need to find some of what they used for the 2001s?

The factory fluid is ATF+4.

There was a TSB out

Here is a copy TSB 18-029-01

The 2001 PTs used MS9933, and the 2002+ use MS9602 which is ATF-4.

This TSB TSB 19-005-03

suggests that you should not mix them.

Quote:
MS9602 should not be mixed or used as a “topping off” fluid on systems requiring MS5931. On some past models, MS9602 should be used as the replacement fluid. On these models, if a power steering system is being serviced that results in a large fluid loss, such as a pump, hose or gear/rack replacement, the complete system should be drained and filled with MS9602.
So it looks like I get to drive ~30 miles to find a Chrysler dealer, since they closed all of the local ones.

These PT's have some complicated fluid issues, I used to be able to buy what ever name brand was on sale and was good to go with my old Toyota.
