It seems things on this friggin car break for no reason what so ever.
Now the throttle cable is slacked about an inch and a half, and I need to know how to readjust it. Do you do it from the throttle body, or where it connects to the pedal? and how so, I dont have hardly any cable to tug on down by the pedal. most cars have adjustment nuts on the throttle body, but I didnt see anything. |

We're talking about the two cables that run across the upper manifold right? One for the cruise control, one for the throttle. I did a fast search but can't find anything on adjusting it but isn't there some sort of adjustment nut on the cable itself where the bracket it that holds the cables in place?
![]() P.S. Forget about the yellow asterisk on the picture. That shows the placement of the IAC.

What is going on with the cable ? What set of circumstances leads you to make this statement ? You've made a determination being on-site, we are way out here in left field.

Is there something where it attaches to the pedal that you can loosen up to adjust the cable? |

Hi all,
How to adjust the throttle control cable on 2004 Chrysler PT cruiser? Thank you for your help. |

i added a throttle body spacer and this took up the slack as i could not see how to adjust it, that was 2 years ago and its still ok

But what caused a cable to suddenly develop one inch of slack? typically, the cables are cut to length with threaded end caps for some adjustment but an inch on that cable sure seems like a lot.
Any possibility the cable came off it's track/roller along it's path? alan |
