Default 2001 AC Questions

Hi new guy here with an AC problem. I just went to recharge the AC system on my PT cruiser and discovered a leak on a line. It is where the tube meets the flange there appears to be a crack there. My questions are;
  • I believe this to be the AC liquid line. Is this a dealer item or can I get it at Advance?
  • If I replace this line at home what else will I have to do? Do I need to replace any other parts?
  • Do I need any specal tools to recharge this?

Default Re: 2001 AC Questions

could be the o ring they are prety cheaply made.You will need to recover the gas by law and you would also need to charge it when done.This is a some what a delicate type job to perform you may want to invest in a service repair
