Default Autolite Double or Single Platinum Plugs?

I don't have a turbo model, so I don't have to worry about them melting. Now are the double platinum plugs (APP5263) a better plug than the single platinum plugs? They are only $1 more, so if they are, I'm going to go with them. They note that they're good for 100,000 miles. Any input would be helpful.

From what I know, they start with the center being platinum (single) then for double, the "arm" gets platinum coating, too.
Most wear occurs on the center post, but doing both can't hurt.
What you will get is plugs that ought to last longer... so go double.

Double platinum plugs would be preferred over single platinum plugs in a waste spark distributorless ignition system.
