spark plug wire change help

Default spark plug wire change help

This is my first time changing the spark plugs and wires on my car 2004 ptc

I have the plugs and wires do i need anything alse before I start taking it apart
I watched a video on you tube they didint say anything about a seal or gasket
do I need to replace it or dose even need one?

There is a "sticky" in the performance section. You do need a torque wrench tho.

Follow all the instructions as hooligan pointed out on this sticky. Disregard anything to do with the EGR, you don't have it.

Use Dielectric grease on the wires and Anti-seize on the plug threads.

hi there no you dont need new gasket in less you break it be careful when its off can be reused a few times

OK, a "sticky" is the threads on top of each of the sections that are there to help owners out with all sorts of information. They are called stickys because I stick them to the forum where they can't move. They always stay there unlike regular postings where they drop down the list when a new thread comes along.

There's 4 rubber gaskets on the end of the upper manifold that can be used over and over again as long as you take care of them. They are oblong and orange/red in color. Take them out and inspect them for breaks but you can put them back carefully when finished inspecting them. There might be one more between the upper manifold and the throttle body. It's been awhile and can't remember if there is one there.
