Default 2004 PT CRUISER wont start

Has about 58,000 Miles.
when stopped at a stop light or reversing noticed that it started shaking, and looking through previous post looks like I could do with a tune up which i was going to get.
Worked fine last night, now this morning it wont even turn over, have no error codes, and it just gives me this long beep, even when i take the key out of the ignition, the beep lasts a few seconds. Radio, light and everything work.
any idea's?

See if you can jump it, maybe your battery is on it's way out. Your car won't run with a totally dead battery. If you can jump it and than it dies when you take the cables off it's most likely your battery or maybe alternator.
