Default over heating

I have a pt cruiser 2002 has 100200 miles on it. It was overheating we replaced the radiator cap, thermostat, temp. sensor , today the fan cooling motor. It is still overheating worse now. I turned on the heater on and it used to cool it off some, but now it doesn't . I can only get about 8 - 10 miles before it overheats, my husband says next he wants to flush the radiator and next buy a new radiator. Any ideas or suggestions? He says the water pump is good because it the heater heats up fast.
