Default Timing belt change, then CEL code for oxygen sensor?

Had my timing belt and water pump changed. After the change, runs as smooth as before with no idling issues. But within 5 miles of driving after the timing belt service the CEL came on. When I do the key dance it shows P0038: HO2S Heater Circuit High Voltage Bank 1 Sensor 2. This should be the heated O2 sensor, I believe. Anyone had this come on after a timing belt change?

Normally I wouldn't think there's a correlation, but it had never thrown a CEL before, and it came on after 5 miles of driving and has stayed on. Anybody had something like this happen?

I'm inclined to test the 02 sensor or just replace it and see if it clears up. Any advice on using an OEM sensor over aftermarket parts?

PT's do not like aftermarket sensors.
