Default Turbo Fluttering Noise out the cold air intake Filter

Ok So I searched and didnt find my problem. Turbo Fluttering Noise out the cold air intake filter. Like CHA CHA CHA. also blow off valve does go off at same time. Just sounds weak tho.

Thats one problem, other one is I hit 8 pounds boost, then ill loose it fast and goes down to 5 pounds?
Is this a leak or waste gate? I did a boost leak test didnt hear any leaks? WTF?

I have a reg 03 Pt converted into a 05 gt pt turbo now.

I have the converted stock 05 Pcm, Stage 1 injectors, Mopar wga stage 2, rfl bov, block off plate, Cold Air Intake, 6 inch Filter, Solenoids Delete, stock vaccum lines deleted, Wastegate to turbo vaccum lines, Bigger intercooler, custom hard pipes.

No Cels or codes. Which makes it hard to figure out.

Please help been stuck on this for some time now. Thanks in Advance.

the turbo flutter isn't a concern with an open air filter system, it is simply reverse flow through the compressor wheel due to the location of your BOV. Is it on your UCP?

i would secondly look for a boost leak. first suspect, your BOV. the mopar S2 WGA has a 9# spring, which means it doesn't open the flapper until it builds 9psi... you have a leak.

where are you located? what pcm did you grab? are you an auto? you might have a turbo lite pcm which would explain the lower boost. Also is you BOV set to stock settings? it is supposed to have a 11psi spring... which means no sound unless you are over 11psi and let off... just brain storming.

Ok so my bov is located by my throttle body. Its an automatic, pcm is an auto came with engine. So i need to find out what Gt pt just dont know the lite or hp gt?

Also i had the mopar bov and it was leaking there. So I switched to the RFL bov plus its better to me. Sound wise.

I think the GT also has a sticker on the gas door that says "Use Premium Only". At lease I heard one of the GT guys say so.

if i understood his first post correct it is an 03 w/ an 05 motor... if it was a custom swap i doubt they took the gas tank sticker off.

yes, i have turbo flutter. i reduced it significantly by locating my bov to my LHP.

adjusting the wga on a lite will increase the boost but because it is a lite the pcm will learn and readjust all parameters, timing, fuel, boost etc. it will run like a dog.

Yes It was a custom swap so the sticker dosent do it for me. lol.

So The fluttering noise seams to be normal to some level.

I did the boost leak test cause its easy. And it was leaking in 4 spots. 2 clamps where broken, 1 coupler hose had a tooth pick size hole in it, and the sensor to the ic pipe had a leak around it. I got those fixed.
Now going to try the stock wastegate to see what this motor is.

Hey ChefTank

Im almost positive the pt Gt turbo I have is a lite. It hits 8 psi of boost. With stock wga back on it.

So can you look up that part # On the pcm to see if thats what it is for sure.

Also I have the diablosport preditor will this help make more boost. To up it. or do I wanna up grade to a stage 1 pcm?
