I take it you have no codes or the engine light isn't glowing on your dial?

My guess, your timing belt might have broke. It usually gives you a sign by showing the engine light. You can take part of the cover off and check the belt or take the cover off the Camshaft sensor and see if the cam turns while someone else cranks the starter.

OK, I see that on your list. Sounds like it's time to hook it up to a scanner to dig deeper.

As Crewzin said it's about time for a scanner hook-up, but I would check one more thing first. The ASD and the PCM work together to fire each plug. If I remember correctly, the ASD supplies the power and the PCM controlls when to fire. Try reseating the ASD or simply replace it. It's in the PDC (fuse box next to the air filter). If that doesn't help, about all that's left is the PCM. If it was mine, I would take it to the dealer or a mechanic that you know has the equipment to correctly check it's function. Sorry I couldn't help more.

Sounds like I got hold of a good one.

I knew about the TSB concerning the few PCM failures, but there were so few that I thought the process of elimination that you had so thoroughly started was best finished before saying it was the PCM. It would have more likely have been any of the other things you had tried before the PCM. I'm not sure what context your "over whelming" comment was meant to imply, but if it was refering to the number of failures, there weren't that many. There were enough to warrant a TSB but not enough to warrant a recall. The TSB simply alerts the dealers to one of the possible solutions to a "not start" problem. When people found out about the few failures it took on a life of it's own. I would be willing to bet that there isn't a menufacturer out there that hasn't had a computer problem of some sort over the years. The PT is not alone on this.

This is one of the drawbacks to "the web" ballooning things way out of proportion, by word of mouth (text). A good example is the bad rep that MSD coils now have on our PTs. I remember when I first heard they were prone to failure, I looked at the forums that were said to have said this. Sure enough there were two failures. --TWO-- Rumors and word -of-mouth seemed to have taken over early on after those two were posted and it became gospel! I've had mine on for over five years and I have installed at least a dozen for my local PT frinds and not one has failed. I also know for a fact there are many more that are using them on this site and over on PT Crew. They haven't bothered to announce it because they will get the waste of money, nay-sayers and frankly they don't need the hassle. Josh (Cheftank) is one of the few that have said they are using one and I'm "proud-on-ya" Josh. By the way, he's one of the best, most knowledgable turbo people around.

Thank you, I feel much better now.

Also I forgot about the engine compartment fuse box. It contains a "starter relay" and an ignition start fuse (#1 pink 30 amp) and an ignition run fuse (#3 green 40 amp) Sorry I didn't remember earier.
