Default Replaced Cam Sensor and not corrected

Hi all,
I had my engine light come on and the car started bucking if I tried to accelerate . I had no problem driving home and tried it later with no acceleration problems. I came here and learned how to check the codes.
Had a p0340 code so I ran to the local Advanced Auto Parts and bought a new sensor.

After installing the sensor I still have the code and engine light. Any suggestions?
Do I have to reset the computer?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
Don

Use an OEM sensor. Aftermarket sensors are notorious for not working with the car's computer properly.

Go with genuine Chrysler/MOPAR parts.

Thank You. I'll stp and get one in the morning and put it in at lunch. Wonder if I can return the one from the parts store. Never know.

Thanks for the support on this forum too.

I have not had a single problem with my 2006 PT Touring Edition until this.
I do love my PT.

It wouldn't hurt to remove the negative cable for about 10 minutes to reset the computer!!!

Thanks. I woke up this morning to the malfunction light out an no fault code so I'm hoping it doesn't come back. Thanks again.

Thanks for getting back - many times we are left guessing if problem was cured.
