I finally got my wheels and was kinda shopping for a new intake kit. With experience does anybody know which ones are the better ones or if there is one that stands out. I like the volant and the borla and I wasnt sure if Ice-man produced one yet. Thanks for the help.Jone-Z

I've used the following: stock (haha, everyone has), drop-in K&N, home-made open style air intake and Airaid cold air intake. Airaid is, by far, the best. Whatever you get, get a cold air box with a K&N style air filter. Brand tends to not matter, as they all function in basically the same manner. Just make sure whatever you get isn't crap. Airaid is good.

I don't know yet how this compares to store boughts, but right now I've got the stock box w/ K&N drop-in, the battery cover cut off and sealed, a 4" pvc intake where the stock snorkle was, and a piece of battery thermowrap folded behind and above the pvc to block air coming from the engine compartment. Seems to be working pretty well so far.
Keep on Chruzin ! |
