Default New-to-me and Questions

Hello all!

My wife just picked up a 2006 PT Touring, and I've got some questions that don't seem to have an easily searched for answer...

I had an Intrepid with AutoStick in it, and it was a fun little bit of kit to play with off the line. Swapping AutoStick capability in to those was as simple as finding the shifter assy, the console trim, an A/S gauge cluster, and the tranny module; it was a very plug and play procedure. Is it sorta the same procedure on the PT's? Or has anyone even done it? I know from searching that the GT's come with it standard, but it looks like every thread is everyone would sooner have a manual shifter conversion, rather than A/S.

Second, is there a pdf version of the factory service manual available anywhere? That was singularly the most useful tool I ever had in modding/repairing the Intrepid with it's wiring diagrams and repair procedures. I found the owners manual link (awesome since this one didn't come with one) as well as the parts list pdf, but no service manual.

Third, she has the standard stereo with REC radio... Can anyone tell me what the RMS power is per channel coming out of that thing? I can't seem to get Google to find that for me. --Also, the base stereo is 4-ohm, not 2, right?

Thanks in advance, this site has already helped me with an A/C issue that the car had.

Welcome to the forums and PT ownership.
I Believe the issue was the service manual is copyrighted....

Not so easy with autostick - the computer has gotten more sophisticated with VIN, etc and that precludes easy messing...
Also, since '04, I think, definitly by '05, they cheapened the auto by taking out 2 of 4 clutch packs for all non-turbo autos, so even if you could, auto-stick probably wouldn't be good for longevity with 2 fewer clutch packs.
No clue on stereo...

How many miles? At 50,000 or so, should flush the auto ( find a place with a flushing machine) and refill with ATF +4.

Look up plugs & wires, outr synthetic in that puppy, and you should have a long life...
