Default windows get stuck when it is hot

When it is too hot outside (let's say 38C, 100F) rear windows get stuck, they do not move up. Once the car is moved to the shade and it cools a bit, the windows work fine again. Any suggestions as to the possible reason?

My hunch is the rubber seals. Lower window all the way down, spray the sides and the bottom "lip" with silicone spray. THe silicone stinks for a while, but quickly goes away and dries clear.
It also can't hurt....

I assume you've tried both the front and rear window switches? My PT had issues when it was hot with the front windows (my wife swore it was totally random when she drove it; I only had issues in the heat). It turned out that the connectors on the switches were going bad. I replaced the front 4 switches for about $100 and haven't had issues yet.

Although motor failures generally are fairly uncommon, it's possible that your motors are getting weak, and when they become hot like that they don't work until they cool down.
