oxygen sensor location

Default oxygen sensor location

Hello, can anyone tell me where exactly is bank one sensor 2 on a 2006 non- turbo PT? I need to replace it, coded 138. Thankyou.

There is a little confusion as to which is which because the place I usually get my information from says:

1/2= O2 sensor before the cat.

2/2= O2 sensor after the cat. Actually on the left side of the CAT.

Someone on the forum said it's the other way round. Personally, if you got that code, why not change them both? If one is bad, the other can't be far from going bad also.

Our PT's don't like aftermarket sensors, please use OEM's.

I have an 06 non turbo. You can get to the first one (before the cat) from the top side. As the pic shows it's in the center close to the firewall. You can use a wrench or check out the 02 wrench from your local auto parts store.

I bought one 02 sensor from O-Reilly's and the other from Auto Zone and haven't had any trouble.
