April,

I tried looking at your old posts but don't see where you posted the particulars of your PT so I can't look it up myself but try these places...

RockAuto Auto Parts

Discount Auto Parts Online -Chevy Parts, Ford Parts, Volvo Parts, Volkswagen Parts - AutoPartsExpress.com.com New Auto Parts

You'll have to decide if you want a new or re-manufactured part. Also some places want $25-$35 core charge until you send yours back in.

Yes, I've heard from others on the forum looking for why there was a difference in manual and automatic trans when it comes to compressors. I'm not sure but when I looked up a 2002 PT in the second site I gave you there were a few choices and a couple of them said they were for MT (Manual Trans) so when you look up the part, Make sure it says AT.

The particulars I was talking about are the year, turbo or not and if it was auto or manual trans. Everybody has the 2429cc/2.4 ltr engine.

Now use that information to go to one of the sites I linked to and compare prices for the auto stores you went to.

I went to the Discount site I put in my link above and first put in 2001 compressor and got a part number for a re-manufactured part. Part number #77387.

Then I put in 2005 compressor and the 2 of the compressors shown had the same part number but a new compressor stating it was for a 2005-2007 was a different number.

That didn't make sense so to tell the truth, I don't know if an older one will fit yours.
