Default Oil Leak

I have an '06 cruiser with 43,000 miles that has developed an oil leak from the crankshaft seal, would anyone know who to talk to at Chrysler with regards to some help on this issue, the car was just purchased in Feb, 2010.

Thanks for any help with my car.

sweetee, the best thing is to talk to a service advisor at your dealership. Did you you buy the PT thru a dealership or at a private seller? If you have the Owners Manual there are some numbers to call Chrysler direct. I'm not sure if your '06 engine is covered for 100,000 miles, Chrysler started "tweaking" what was covered around that time. That is one reason I traded our 2006 in and got a 2008 which the engine & tranny is lifetime warranted.

BTW: Welcome to the Forum. How about filing out your profile? Thanks!

Is it the front or rear main seal? That certainly isn't a very common issue with these cars, especially with relatively low miles.

If you bought it from a dealer, talk to your salesman. If you bought it privately, talk to the service manager.

Hello Everybody,The probability of them hitting it on the very first shot is virtually nil," said David Rensink, incoming president of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, who spent most of his 39 years in the oil industry in offshore exploration. "If they get it on the first three or four shots they'd be very lucky."
