that possible?
Just go back to line it up. If you turn it all the way around again, you'll have to rotate the cams as well.

I'm still working on the timing belt change, I have the upper and lower timing
covers off and everything else off, but I can't seem to get the engine plate
off, i have all the bolts out, and its lose but can't remove the plate. I have
jacked the motor up as high as i can, but it won't come out. Can anyone
tell me how to remove that plate? Its the one in front of the timing belt tensioner. thanks

are you talking about the torque strut tower or the center engine mount with the 4 bolts

their is a bpolt you might have missed it is a large screw that youm remove with what looks like a stared screw driver tip. Whith the right tire and plasstic protective stuff removed you will see the bolt you need to remove. if you go to tech and perf fourm on the first page you will see a post by candyman and it is an exploded view of the entire car make sure you down load the right year it was a great help we all need to thank candyman for the free down load.

are both your engine mounts removed and engine supported. if so jack the engine up a little at a time but that torque bolt you removed was the right engine mount the other two mounts are the torque mounts. the strut tower has a groove that holds the center mount so when lifting the engine you have to pop it over the groove otherwise it will raise the right side of the car as if it where still atatched (I used a crow bar and gently lifted and bumped the engine towards the drivers side. Carefull though i recommend supporting the trany as whell just in cas the tranny mount will be bearing all weight at the moment that you bump the engine over.after that you should be able to work it out easiest to go down rather thn up. good luck i will keep up on this post let me know how it goes. Did you find the download for the exploded engine view if so save it to you computer no telling how long it will last in that fourm they do a great job in saving things that are of the best help but you never can tell when a computer is going to crash
