Exclamation Power steering switch

Need help,can anyone explain the best way to chance out a bad power steering sensor switch on a 2001 PT.Pulling (Code P0551)witch shows bad switch.Also what power steering fluid to use.

Chrylser calls for ATF+4 in the power steering unit. Just had mine done. WARNING: VERY messy job. Steering fluid rushes out when you pull the old switch.

CREWZIN,
Thank you for the photo,do you now the best way to remove it,is it from underneath or from the wheel well.Is it possible you might have a write up on how to do it?

No, don't have a write up. You can only get it from underneath the car. Forget the size wrench but should be in a normal tool box. Don't forget it's a messy job.

Like Crewzin says, it's a messy job!!! Just did it last week. It uses a 7/16 deep socket, and as you remove the sensor/switch, steering fluid gushes out, so have a quart handy to replace it. I'd also recommend doing it after it has sat for awhile, so that the gushing fluid isn't hot. Access is from crawling under just beneath the driver's door, and I hope you don't have huge hands.
